Sorry I know the post says evaporated milk but didn’t have a pic handy. Will post pic later. I replaced cream in my spicy cajun shrimp with evaporated milk and I was so surprised how yummy and fabulous it made it with half the calories. Recipe on next page.
Spicy Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients
- 1lb Whole Wheat Pasta - Fettuccine or Linguiin
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1lb Raw Shrimp
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Hungarian Pepper
- 1 tablespoon White Pepper
- Salt
- 3 Italian Pepper - Use what you have
- 1 Medium Onion
- 4 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Can Evaporated Milk
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- Lemon Juice - Fresh Squeezed
Directions
Step 1 | |
Put Olive Oil in medium pan over medium heat | |

Add Finely Chopped, garlic, peppers, onion and saute for about 5 minutes. | |

Add shrimp to pepper mixture and add the seasonings. Cook Until Shrimp are done. Stire in the evap milk and lemon juice just before the shrimp are fully cooked. | |
Step 4 | |
Drop pasta in boiling water. When pasta done drain and toss with shrimp and sauce. |
